Warning: Disconnect power to the microwave oven at the circuit breaker panel or by unplugging.

Remove the vent grill mounting screws.

Pull the vent grill away from the unit.

Carefully push the vent grill back into place and replace the screws removed in Step 2.

CAUTION: To avoid risk of personal injury or property damage, do not operate oven vent without filters properly in place.

Remove the ventilation filters by sliding the filter to the rear, pulling it downward and pushing to the other side.

Soak the ventilation filters in hot water using a mild detergent. Rinse well and shake to dry. Do not use ammonia or wash in a dishwasher.

Reinstall the ventilation filter by sliding it into the side slot, then pushing up and toward oven to lock.

Sign off on the oven vent filters cleaning

Remove the charcoal filter by pushing it inwards, then turn and pull it away from the unit.

Open light cover located behind filter mounting by carefully pulling up on the front edge.

Warning: Ensure the appliance, grease filters, and light bulbs have cooled and grease has solidified before cleaning.

Warning: Turn off the appliance and lights before replacing the bulb(s) to avoid electrical shock or burns. Always handle glass lenses with care to prevent injury or damage.

Warning: The light socket is live if the door is open and the power supply is not turned off.

Is the oven clean inside and out, paying attention to the inner door panel and front frame to prevent grease buildup?

Did you avoid using abrasive scouring powders or pads on the microwave and used a soft cloth with mild detergent instead?

Did you wipe spills immediately with a wet paper towel, especially after cooking greasy foods like chicken or bacon?

Did you ensure that the oven is never operated without food inside to avoid damaging the magnetron tube or glass tray?

If the oven is not in use, did you leave a cup of water inside to prevent accidental damage if turned on?

Did you clean the Oven Cavity with a damp cloth and mild soap, and wipe up spills immediately?
