Warning: Batteries contain acid which burns eyes and skin on contact. Wear goggles, protective clothing, and rubber gloves to keep acid off body.

Remove acid or corrosion from battery and cables with sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and water solution

Put Bobcat Battery Saver or grease on the battery terminals and cable ends to prevent corrosion

Check electrolyte level in the battery

Sign off on the battery maintenance

Operate the engine until coolant reaches normal operating temperature. Stop the engine.

The oil drain hose is located behind a cover under the right rear corner of the loader (Inset).

Remove two cover mounting bolts.

Loosen one cover mounting bolt and slide the cover to the rear of the loader to remove.

Remove the oil drain cap from the oil drain hose and drain the oil into a container. Recycle or dispose of used oil in an environmentally safe manner.

Install and tighten the oil drain cap.

Install the cover and the cover mounting bolts. Tighten all bolts.

Remove the oil filter and clean the filter base.

Bobcat Interlock Control Systems (BICS™)

Hydraulic / Hydrostatic Filter – Replace the hydraulic / hydrostatic filter

1. Stop the engine and remove the rear grille.

2. Clean the top of the filter housing.

3. Remove the bolts and rotate the filter cap slightly.

4. Slowly pry the filter cap off the housing by hand.

5. Remove the filter element and discard.

6. Lubricate the O-ring on the new filter element with clean oil.

7. Install new filter element ensuring that element is fully seated in the housing.

8. Remove the filter cap O-rings and discard.

Engine / Hydrostatic Drive Belt – Check for wear or damage. Adjust or replace as needed.

NOTE: The stop arm MUST be adjusted after 50 hours operation with the new drive belt.

Drive Belts (Alternator, air conditioning, water pump) – Check condition. Replace as needed.

Bobcat Interlock Control System (BICS™) – Check the function of the lift arm bypass control.
