3 Monthly Bearings Lubrication
Depends on Service Condition Lubrication Schedule could change: Standard Service – 36 Months, Severe Service – 12 Months, Extreme Service – 3 Months
Bearing grease will lose its lubricating ability over time, not suddenly. The lubricating ability of a grease (over time) depends primarily on the type of grease, the size of the bearing, the speed at which the bearing operates and the severity of the operating conditions.
Good results can be obtained if the following recommendations are used in your maintenance program. Relubrication with the shaft stationary and a warm motor is recommended.
RPMIII motors have the exclusive Positive Lubrication System PLS which routes new grease directly into the bearing.
Note: Certain special motors may have a lubrication instruction plate permanently attached. These specific lubricating instructions must be followed.
Relubrication with the shaft stationary and a warm motor is done?
All dirt from the outside of the grease fills and drains wiped?
Grease inlet at the top of the bearing hub located, area cleaned and 1/8−inch pipe plug replaced with a grease fitting if the motor is not equipped with grease fitting?
Grease drain plug located opposite the grease inlet removed?
