Atlas Copco Air Dryer CD 12+

Warning: Ensure the dryer is off and unplugged before starting the procedure.

Orange service warning LED (4) flashing at 11500 hours?

Red service alarm LED (5) flashing at 12000 hours?

Dryer closed off as per stopping procedure?

Power cord of the dryer pulled out?

Service plan performed as scheduled?

Dryer restarted by reconnecting the power cord?

Counter restarted and dryer operating LED (1) alight?

Service warning LED (4) or service alarm LED (5) still flashing?

Replace the inlet filter cartridge

Replace exhaust valve diaphragm and solenoid valves

Replace shuttle valve and o-rings

Sign off on the air dryer maintenance

• Replace the inlet filter cartridge.

• Replace desiccant cartridges.

Desiccant replacement procedure

1. Completely depressurise the dryer. Consult Stopping the dryer in section Operating instructions.

2. Remove the four M10 bolts from the top cover of one tower of the dryer.

3. Remove the top cover plate and O-ring from the dryer.

4. Remove the cartridge from the dryer.

5. Take off the handle from the old cartridge by unscrewing the M4 bolts and take out the spring and nozzle.

Warning: Ensure the dryer is completely depressurised before starting the procedure.

Remove the four M10 bolts from the top cover of one tower of the dryer

Remove the top cover plate from the dryer

Remove two M4 bolts and take out the handle

Remove the purge nozzle and spring

Insert the new purge nozzle with the spring on top

Put the handle back on top of the purge nozzle and tighten the two bolts

Put the top plate back on, making sure the O-ring is in place
