Heater Replacement
Preparation
Disengage operations and ensure all system pressure is relieved
Verify the unit's pressure gauges read "0"
Disengage main power supply
Verify the Power light on the display is "off"
Access and Drainage
Remove the lift-off access panel and set aside
Drain machine by removing the pump casing drain plug

Preparation
Disengage process operations and verify all system pressure is relieved and the unit's pressure gauges read '0'.
Disengage main power supply and verify the Power light on the display is 'off'.
Remove the lift-off access panel and set aside.
Disconnect the valve wiring harness.
Remove the AVT valve's drip cover.
Motor Driver/Gearbox Components Service
Remove the 2 mounting screws securing the motor/gearbox assembly.
Carefully separate the motor/gearbox from the attached coupling from the valve assembly.
Temperature Probe Calibration
Equipment Needed
Ensure all necessary equipment is available
Setup
Disengage process operations according to the procedure outlined in the unit manual. Ensure all system pressure is relieved and unit pressure gauges read '0'.
Disengage main power supply.
Remove the 'to process' temperature probe and insert a 1/2" plug in its place.
Prepare an ice bath and place a digital thermometer in it to read the temperature. Place the probe in the ice bath.
Procedure
Restart the instrument according to the procedures outlined in the unit manual.
Pressure Switch Maintenance
Preparation
Shut down unit operations according to section 3.4 in the manual
Ensure proper lock-out procedures are followed
Confirm system pressure is eliminated and the unit's pressure gauges read '0' pressure
Pressure Switch Removal
Drain unit by removing the pump casing drain plug
Remove the capillary connection from the cooling cylinder to the pressure switch
Remove the brass elbow mounted on the pressure switch
Remove the electrical connections to the pressure switch
Sensor Probe Maintenance
Reconnection Procedure
Unplug the sensor probe connection
Shake out water from the service connection
Replug the sensor probe connection
Did the error display change to Solid Red?
Press the Start push button to clear the error display
Replacement Procedure
Cease process operations as outlined in section 3.4 of the manual
Ensure all process pressure is relieved and pressure gauges read '0' pressure
