Temperature Probe Calibration
Equipment Needed
Ensure all necessary equipment is available
Setup
Disengage process operations according to the unit manual
Disengage main power supply
Remove the 'to process' temperature probe and insert a 1/2" plug
Prepare an ice bath and place a digital thermometer in it
Place the probe in the ice bath
Procedure
Pressure Switch Maintenance
Preparation
Shut down unit operations according to section 3.4 in this manual
Ensure proper lock-out procedures are followed
Ensure system pressure is eliminated and the unit's pressure gauges read '0' pressure
Pressure Switch Removal
Drain unit by removing the pump casing drain plug
Remove the capillary connection from the cooling cylinder to the pressure switch
Remove the brass elbow mounted on the pressure switch
Remove the electrical connections to the pressure switch
Cooling Valve Maintenance
Preparation and Initial Steps
Disengage process operations and verify all system pressure is relieved and the unit's pressure gauges read '0'.
Disengage main power supply and verify the Power light on the display is 'off'.
Remove the lift-off access panel and set aside.
Disconnect the valve wiring harness.
Remove the AVT valve's drip cover.
Motor Driver/Gearbox Components Servicing
Remove the 2 mounting screws securing the motor/gearbox assembly.
Carefully separate the motor/gearbox from the attached coupling from the valve assembly.
Heater Contactor and Pump Motor Starter Maintenance
Heater Contactor Inspection
Inspect the heater contactor for signs of wear or pitting on the contacts.
Is there any visible wear or pitting on the heater contactor contacts?
Pump Motor Starter Inspection
Inspect the pump motor starter for signs of wear or pitting on the contacts.
Is there any visible wear or pitting on the pump motor starter contacts?
Replacement and Maintenance
Replace the heater contactor if wear or pitting is observed.
Replace the pump motor starter if wear or pitting is observed.
Sensor Probe Maintenance
Reconnection Procedure
Unplug the sensor probe connection and shake out water
Did the error display change to Solid Red?
Press the Start push button to clear the error display
Replacement Procedure
Cease process operations as outlined in section 3.4 of the manual
Ensure all process pressure is relieved and pressure gauges read '0' pressure
Drain the unit by removing the pump casing drain plug
Disconnect the sensor probe service plug
