Drive stopped and electrical safety precautions followed

Fan cover opened using a suitable flat screwdriver

Fan cover carefully lifted out of the drive

Fan power cable removed from the cable slot in the drive

Fan clips freed and fan removed from the fan cover

New fan installed into the fan cover ensuring correct air flow direction

Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!

Are all components within their mission time?

If any component is beyond its mission time, proceed with the following options

Choose the type of service done

Enter the age of the oldest component in the circuit

Did the circuit pass the post-replacement test?

Sign off on the safety components replacement

Warning: This maintenance check requires trained personnel with PPE!

If capacitors have failed, contact ABB immediately

Last date the drive was powered

If the drive has not been powered for a year or more, the capacitors must be reformed

Sign off on the capacitors maintenance

WARNING! Use the required personal protective equipment. Wear protective gloves and long sleeves. Some parts have sharp edges.

WARNING! Use a vacuum cleaner with antistatic hose and nozzle, and wear a grounding wristband. Using a normal vacuum cleaner creates static discharges which can damage circuit boards.

Drive stopped and electrical safety precautions taken

Compressed air blown from bottom to top and vacuum cleaner used at the air outlet

Cleaning done in another room if there is a risk of dust entering adjoining equipment

Sign off on the heatsink cleaning

Check quality of supply voltage

Check DC circuit capacitors reforming for spare modules and spare capacitors

Inspect dustiness, corrosion and temperature

Sign off on the drive maintenance
