Enter the current hours of the capacitors

Is the ambient temperature low?

If the ambient temperature is not low, take measures to lower it

Any signs of capacitor failure?

If capacitor failure is suspected, contact ABB immediately

Are the replacement capacitors from ABB?

Do not attempt operation with other than ABB specified spare parts

Reform (re-age) spare part capacitors once a year according to ACS 600 Capacitor Reforming Guide (code: 64059629)

Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!

Is the ACx 601 unit making increased noise?

Enter the current heatsink temperature

Is the heatsink temperature gradually rising despite cleaning?

If the above symptoms are present, fan replacement is recommended.

Is the frequency converter operating in a critical part of the process?

If yes, proceed with fan replacement. If no, monitor the situation.

Fan can be withdrawn by removing the bottom of the frame.

Enter the model number of the replacement fan

Warning: The heatsink should be checked and cleaned annually to prevent overtemperature warnings and faults.

Select the cleaning method used

Note: Compressed air should only be used if the installation can be taken apart and the cleaning is carried out in another room or outdoors.

Was fan rotation prevented during cleaning?
