20 Yearly Safety component Replacement
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!
Check if the mission time of functional safety components is expired
If the mission time is expired, proceed with the following steps
Choose the type of renewal
Note: Renewal of the components in the safety function circuit is economical only with larger drives that have replaceable circuit boards and other components such as relays.
Check if some of the components have already been renewed earlier
If some components have been renewed earlier, their mission time is restarted. However, the remaining mission time of the whole circuit is determined by its oldest component.
Sign off on the safety component replacement
ZCU-12 Memory Unit Replacement
Warning: Do not remove or insert the memory unit when the control unit is powered.
Drive stopped and electrical safety precautions followed
Upload a photo of the memory unit before removal
Clip at the side of the memory pulled up
Memory unit removed
Upload a photo of the memory unit after removal
Memory unit installed in reverse order
Upload a photo of the memory unit after installation
Sign off on the memory unit replacement

XD2D terminal block removed to see the battery
Edge of the control unit cover on the side with the I/O terminal blocks carefully lifted
Battery pulled out of the battery holder
New CR2032 battery put into the battery holder
Control unit cover closed
M4×8 (T20) screws tightened

Performance DC circuit capacitors reforming, spare modules and spare capacitors
Inspect IP22 and IP42 air inlet and outlet meshes
Inspect tightness of terminals
Inspect dustiness, corrosion and temperature
