Unplug the shift control linkage connecting cable from the control valve lever

Put the control valve lever in the forward drive position

Select forward drive position with the bridge console control lever

Do the positions of the respective couplers (lever/cable) coincide?

Put the control valve lever in the reverse drive position

Ensure towing duration does not exceed 8 hours

Is the control lever position irrelevant when the engine is off?

Record the oil temperature during towing

Is the oil temperature below 80°C during towing?

Avoid performing operations on the transmission during towing

Is the propeller stationary during towing?

Check for oil leaks and oil level

Measure oil level two minutes after turning off the engine

Is the oil level between the upper and lower marks on the dipstick?

Run the gearbox for about two minutes after initial filling or repairs

Recheck oil level two minutes after turning off the engine

Tighten all external threaded fasteners

Unplug the shift control linkage connecting cable with the control valve lever

Check for oil leaks and oil level

Tighten all external threaded fasteners

Filter and Transmission Maintenance

Inspect and clean suction filter

Lubricate external moving parts

Check oil level two minutes after turning off the engine

Is the oil level between the upper and lower marks on the dipstick?

Run the gearbox for about two minutes after initial filling or repairs

Recheck the oil level two minutes after turning the engine off

Remove the filler cap and extract the oil level dipstick

Drain off the lubricant oil by removing the drain plugs, saving the gaskets

Collect the used oil and observe the binding rules for special waste disposal
