Plumbing and Electrical Inspection

Check all plumbing connections for leakage.

Check all electrical connections and components for signs of malfunction or poor connection.

Strainer Basket Inspection and Cleaning

Visually inspect strainer basket through lid. Is cleaning necessary?

Strainer Basket Cleaning Procedure

Release pressure from filter vessel.

Check automatic air release valve for proper operation

Remove plug in top of valve slowly

Remove manway cover and inspect media bed

Close isolation valves in influent and effluent piping to the filter

Close the tank drain when the water level is low enough to expose the surface of the media bed

Smell the media to check for cleanliness
