Inspect hoses and fittings for damage or wear

Verify the hydraulic velocity fuse

Verify 'jog' function is operating

Verify high speed retract is working

Verify there is no damage or wear to either switch

Verify both switches operate correctly

Verify no bent, broken or damaged components

Verify no damage or tears on cot grips

Cot and fastener fit and function properly

Safety bar engages the vehicle safety hook properly

Cylinder is adjusted so the lock nut is tight and the cot stops moving when it hits the dead stops

Manual back-up release handle returns to the stowed position

All welds intact, not cracked or broken

Warning labels present, legible (reference assembly drawings)

All welds intact, not cracked or broken

Optional wheel lock(s) checked and adjusted as necessary

Sign off on the maintenance check

In-fastener shut-off configured properly

Cylinder rod extended and wiped down with soft cloth and household cleaner

Routing(s) and connection(s) checked, no hanging wires

Manual back-up release handle functions properly

All wheels secure, rolling and swiveling properly

Safety bar operates properly. Pull toward the head section to ensure that it swings and rotates freely and pulls back to home position.

SMRT Pak housing and terminal area inspected for cracks or damage

Motor mount fasteners are secure

No damage or pinching of wiring hamness, cables or lines

Base extends/retracts smoothly when the manual back-up release handle is engaged

With 100 Ib or more on the cot, the cot does not lower when the manual backup release handle is pulled

Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!

Using a T25 Torx driver or 5/32” hex wrench, remove the button head cap screw that secures the retaining post cap and post tube to the top pin bracket. Discard the screw.

Using a 5/32” hex wrench, install and tighten the button head cap screw (p/n 0004-503-000) completely to secure the retaining post cap and tube to the top portion of the retaining post assembly. Using a torque wrench, torque the screw to 100-140 in-lb.

Verify proper operation of the unit before returning it to service.
