Siderails move and latch properly
Backrest operating properly
Optional accessories intact and operating properly
Pneumatic Backrest Adjustment
Backrest moved to 75 degrees
Hex nut on the Backrest pivot loosened
Set screw adjusted to remove play between Backrest release handle and pneumatic cylinder release button
Backrest travels from flat to at least 75 degrees
Backrest lowered to a 5–10 degree angle and handle released
50 pounds downward force applied to the end of the Backrest and checked for drift
Hex nut tightened while holding the set screw fixed in the pivot
Sign off on the pneumatic backrest adjustment
2–Stage I.V. Pole Maintenance
Pole lifted and pivoted from the storage position and pushed down until it is locked into receptacle (A)
Lock actuator (B) turned counterclockwise and telescoping portion (C) of the pole pulled up to raise it to the desired height
Lock actuator (B) turned clockwise to lock the telescoping portion in place
I.V. bags hanged on the I.V. hook (D)
Sign off on the I.V. Pole Maintenance
3–Stage I.V. Pole Maintenance
Pole lifted and pivoted from the storage position and pushed down until it is locked into receptacle (A)
Height of the pole raised by turning the lock actuator (B) counterclockwise and pulling up on the bottom telescoping portion (C) of the pole
Lock actuator (B) turned clockwise to lock the bottom telescoping portion in place
For a higher I.V. pole, section (D) pulled up until the spring clip (E) engages
I.V. bags hanged on the I.V. hook (F)
To lower the I.V. pole, spring clip (E) pushed in and section (D) slid down into section (C). Lock actuator (B) turned counterclockwise and section (C) slid into the bottom tube
Pole lifted up and pivoted down into the storage position
Sign off on the I.V. pole maintenance
