Temperature Display Calibration
Preparation
Ensure reference sensor device meets minimum requirements (see page 7)
Verify calibration is required by protocol or compliance schedule
Calibration Setup
Introduce the reference device thermocouple sensor probe through the left side intake vent or chamber door space
Ensure at least 12 inches (305 mm) of wire is in the chamber
Position the probe head at the geometric center point of the chamber
Ensure probe head is at least 2 inches (51 mm) from shelving surface
Secure the probe head with non-marking, heat-resistant tape
Forced Air Ovens
Safety Precautions
Disconnect the unit from its power supply
Ensure the unit is cooled down to room temperature before cleaning
Verify all cleaning agents have evaporated or been removed before reactivating the unit
Hazardous Material Spill Protocol
Has a hazardous material or substance spilled in the oven?
Initiate site Hazardous Material Spill Containment protocol if a spill has occurred
Contact local Site Safety Officer and follow site policy and procedures
