500 Hourly Maintenance
- Change oil (mineral oil):
1. Allow the compressor to warm up, switch it off, disconnect the power supply.
2. Pull out the oil filler plug or oil dipstick (item 03), hold the used oil container under the oil filler plug (item 04), screw open the oil drain screw, drain used oil completely.
3. Screw the oil drain screw closed.
4. Add the prescribed quantity of oil.
5. Check the oil level, correct if necessary. Insert the oil filler plug or oil dipstick.
6. Dispose of used oil according to applicable regulations.
As the mineral oil, we recommend Art. No.B111002, synthetic oil Art. No. B111006. Using incorrect oils shall void the warranty. Mixing synthetic and mineral oil can dam- age the compressor!
- Change intake filter:
50 Hourly Maintenance
- Check V-belt tension (where applicable):
V-belt driven compressors:
1. Switch off the petrol engine.
2. Remove the mounting plugs, take off the belt guard grating.
Checking V-belt tension:
Press down on the V-belt at the top using your thumb, halfway between the V-belt discs. The belt should not give more the width of the V-belt (Figure 8a).
Adjusting V-belt tension:
1. Mark the position of the petrol motor on the base plate.
2. Unscrew the mounting screws of the motor (Figure 8b).
Weekly Check
- Check intake filter: Clean if necessary.
Cleaning the intake filter:
1. Unscrew the intake filter. (Fig. 5a)
2. Clean the filter insert using the blow gun, exchange the filter insert if necessary.
3. Screw the intake filter back on.
Do not purge the intake opening. No foreign objects may enter.
Never operate the compressor without an intake filter.
2500 Hourly Replacement
- Change safety valve:
1. Detach the safety valve (item 11) by unscrewing it anticlockwise.
2. Screw the new safety valve into place by screwing it clockwise.
Daily Check
-Check the oil level, add oil if necessary:
For compressors with an oil dipstick, pull the dipstick out. 1. The oil level must be between the top and bottom marks (oil dipstick/oil inspection glass) (Figure 7a).
2. Correct if necessary.
In very unfavourable conditions, condensate may find its way into the oil. This can be identified by milky oil. In this case, the oil must be changed immediately.
- Drain condensate from pressure vessel:
Condensate is a water pollutant. Dispose of it according to applicable regulations!
1. Place a suitable vessel under the condensate drain.
2. To drain condensate, the pressure may be no more than 2 bar.
3. Open the condensate drain valve (item 09): rotate 1 1/2 turns anticlockwise.
