CAUTION: INGRESS PROTECTION CLASSIFICATION FOR THE AUTO PHOROPTOR HEAD IS IP2X, WHILE THE CENTRAL UNIT AND CONTROLLER ARE IP3X. DO NOT SPRAY, SPLASH, OR IMMERSE IN CLEANING SOLUTIONS.

The Phoroptor VRx is an enclosed unit with an ingress protection classification of IP2X (Phoroptor Head) or IP3X (Central Unit and Controller). The lenses and other internal parts cannot be accessed by the operator for cleaning.

The Phoroptor VRx requires no user maintenance. It is recommended to send in the Phoroptor Head to Reichert if interior lens cleaning is necessary.

Is the Phoroptor VRx Head covered with the dust cover when not in use?

Note: Make sure the power to the Phoroptor VRx is OFF before covering the instrument.

Unplug the Central Unit power cord

Squeeze in the tabs on the Fuse Holder and pull the Fuse Holder out

Note: Tweezers or a similar tool can be used to remove the fuse holder

Remove the fuses that require replacement, and install new fuses

Note: Refer to the Specifications section of this manual for fuse specifications

Install the Fuse Holder into the Central Unit until it snaps into place

Sign off on the fuse replacement
