Tilting Arbor Table Saw Maintenance

Is the inside of the cabinet and trunnion area clean?
Upload a photo of the cleaned cabinet and trunnion area
Is the tilting and raising worm and worm gear segments and the trunnions clean?
Upload a photo of the cleaned tilting and raising worm and worm gear segments and the trunnions
Are the three areas greased with a good grade non-hardening grease such as Fiske Company 'Lubriplate'?
Upload a photo of the greased areas
Is there excessive end play in the tilting and raising mechanism and in the saw arbor?
Is the belt tension and wear acceptable?
Blade Raising Mechanism Adjustment
Check for sawdust and pitch build-up
If binding continues, proceed to the next steps
Check the fit-up of the worm and worm gear segment
If the worm is not centered, proceed to the next steps
Loosen the saw raising arm setscrews and move the arm as required
If saw arm has been relocated, proceed to the next steps
Check for clearance between the saw blade and table insert slot
Check the alignment of the splitter
NOTE: The saw arm setscrew must be tight to avoid the possibility of movement which could cause the blade to hit the insert.
