Is the motor permanently lubricated?

Check motor for lubrication if not permanently lubricated

Check fan for fit on motor shaft

Check motor bearings for lubrication

Check blower bearings for lubrication

Check belt for proper alignment

Turn off all electricity and gas to unit

Lower bottom pan to expose burner and manifold

Disconnect pilot tubing and thermocouple lead (or ignition cable) at the combination gas control (and ignition control)

Remove the two burner retaining pins holding the burner in place

Ensure slots at the front of the burner are located properly on their shoulder rivets when replacing

Ensure burner retaining pins are put back into their proper locations when replacing

Cleaning of Unit Heater Components

Ensure the unit is free from dust, dirt, grease, and foreign matter, focusing on the following areas

If air pressure is available, did you use an air hose to blow dirt and foreign matter from within the burner?

Were the main burner orifices checked for blockage due to spider webs or other obstructions?

Avoid using hard, sharp instruments for cleaning burner ports, pilot burner, and main burner orifices.

Clean heat exchanger tubes from bottom with a stiff brush after removing burner (Do not use wire brush).

Check wiring for possible loose connections

Refer to control instruction sheets furnished separately with the unit heater for control checks.
