Remove the sensor from the patient

Disconnect the sensor from the patient cable

Disconnect the patient cable from the monitor

Wipe the entire sensor and/or patient cable clean with a 70% isopropyl alcohol pad

Allow to air dry thoroughly before returning it to operation

Describe how patient cables are routed to reduce the possibility of patient entanglement or strangulation

Ensure the Rad-8 Pulse Oximeter is turned off and unplugged from any power source.

Gather cleaning materials: soft cloth, mild detergent, warm water, and approved solvents (Cidex Plus, 0.25% Ammonium Chloride, 10% Bleach, 70% Isopropyl Alcohol).

Clean the outer surface with a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent and warm water solution.

Wipe down the outer surface using approved solvents

Ensure no liquids have entered the interior of the instrument.

Confirm that the monitor was not soaked or immersed in any liquid.
