Safety Precautions
Unit Wiring
Caution: Grounded AC and Isolation
Ensure the hot wire is on the [+] terminal if using grounded AC.
Use an isolation transformer if the controller lacks built-in isolation.
Avoid powering from transformers used for non-isolated full-wave rectifier power supplies.
Ensure all 24G power leads are connected to the same power lead on all devices when using the same transformer.
Maintain correct phasing when powering more than one device from a single transducer.
Wiring PR-274/275 Units with mA Output
Remove the terminal block by carefully pulling it off the circuit board.
Locate the [+] and [-] terminal markings on the board.
Unit Calibration
Preparation
Connect terminals [+] and [-] to the appropriate power source.
Connect the DVM in series on the [-] terminal.
Calibration of PR-274/275 mA Units
Apply low pressure to the unit.
Select configuration type for low output adjustment
Adjust Zu trimmer for uni-direction configuration to achieve desired low output.
Adjust Zb trimmer for bi-direction configuration to achieve desired low output.
Apply high pressure to the unit.
Low Pressure Sensor Installation
Safety Precautions
Disconnect power supply before installation to prevent electrical shock and equipment damage.
Make all connections in accordance with the job wiring diagram and in accordance with national and local electrical codes. Use copper conductors only.
Use electrostatic discharge precautions (e.g., use of wrist straps) during installation and wiring to prevent equipment damage.
Avoid locations where severe shock or vibration, excessive moisture or corrosive fumes are present.
Ensure NEMA Type 4 housings are used for outdoor installations to provide protection against wind-blown dust, rain, and hose-directed water.
Do not exceed ratings of the device.
Ensure condensate or moisture does not enter pressure sensor ports.
