Destroy the bearings to facilitate removal

Use a hooked tool to pull out the bearings

Use a tap slightly larger than the bearing inner diameter for plastic bearings

Remove the bearings from the housings

Installation of Bearings into Front and Rear Housings

Insert bearings into the housing bores, aligning grooves for lock pins

Use a mechanical press to insert bearings if necessary

Insert bearing lock pins into the front and rear housings

Detach the motor (with outer magnet) from the pedestal by removing four bolts.

Loosen the two setscrews on the hub of the outer magnet.

Remove the outer magnet from the motor shaft.

Select the motor frame used with the pump

Installation for NEMA 56C, 56HC & IEC 90 Frames

Ensure the end of the motor shaft is flush with the inner surface of the outer magnet’s hub.

Installation for NEMA 143TC & 145TC Frames

Remove the front housing bolts from the pedestal

Carefully pull the Cartridge straight out

Remove six screws and separate the containment can from the front housing

Discard the containment can O-ring

Detach the inner magnet from the drive shaft by removing the outer retaining ring

Polish smooth any high spots on the end of the shaft after removing the retaining ring

Remove the inner magnet and key from the drive shaft

Dislodge the retaining ring from the inner groove on the drive shaft
