Clean the exterior with warm water and a mild, nonabrasive household detergent

Cleaning Around and Under the Appliance

Vacuum lint and dust from around the dryer and underneath it

Wipe the door and the inside of the door seal to remove any moisture.

Wipe the body of the washer with a dry cloth to remove any moisture.

Leave the door open to dry the drum interior.

Engage the Control Lock feature to prevent children from accidentally starting a wash cycle.

Wash the door with a damp cloth on the outside and inside, then dry with a soft cloth.

Immediately wipe off any spills on the exterior.

Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.

Wear rubber gloves and protective goggles

Dilute 3/4 cup (177 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach in 1 gallon (3.8 L) of water

Wipe around the door seal with a sponge or soft cloth soaked in the diluted solution

Wipe up any moisture with a dry towel or cloth after cleaning

Leave the door open to allow the door seal to dry completely

Lint Filter Removal and Cleaning

Open the dryer door and pull the lint filter straight up.

Choose a method to clean the lint filter

Is the lint filter very dirty or clogged with fabric softener?

Wash the lint filter in warm, soapy water and allow it to dry thoroughly before reinstalling.

Ensure the lint filter is reinstalled before operating the appliance.

Turn off the washer and unplug the power cord

Pull the drawer straight out until it stops

Press down hard on the disengage button and pull the drawer completely out

Remove the inserts from the drawer

Clean the inserts and drawer with warm water using a soft cloth or brush

Ensure no soap is used when cleaning the drawer and inserts
