Add compressor oil through the gas inlet until the level is at least as high as the bottom of the inlet cavity.

Wait a few minutes for the oil to fill internal clearances.

Add more oil to bring the level back up to the bottom of the inlet cavity.

Reinstall the inlet cover plate.

Bolt down the inlet cover plate securely.

Rotate the drive shaft 1⁄2 turn to ensure all moving parts have an oil coating.

Ensure the unit cannot be started and system has all pressure removed

Remove any coupling guards and/or shields

Clean the front of the compressor thoroughly to prevent dirt from entering

Save and mark all mounting shims if any, for reuse

Verify Seal Kit P/N by referring to appropriate compressor assembly/parts drawing

Disconnect the lubrication line (tube) from the seal retainer or bearing retainer

Service all equipment (filters, moisture separators, prime mover, etc.) following the equipment manufacturer’s instructions.

Drain condensate (water) from the oil reservoir.

Close the drain valve securely when oil appears.

Check the compressor oil reservoir fluid level.

Add oil to the correct level if necessary. Do not overfill.

Ensure the oil is properly maintained per the 'Oil and Related Items' section of this manual.

Drain water (condensate) from the oil reservoir and close the drain valve securely when oil appears.

Check the compressor oil reservoir level.

Add correct type of oil as required. Do not overfill.

Visually inspect the entire unit for leaks, loose hardware, etc.

Describe any issues found during visual inspection.
