Rotary Airlock Valve Driven Sprocket Replacement
Disconnect and lock out power
Remove the chain guard
Remove the drive chain
Remove the sprocket
Loosen the setscrew on the QD bushing
Loosen and remove all the mounting cap screws
Insert the cap screws into all the threaded jackscrew holes
Tighten all the jackscrews in small, equal amounts until the tapered surfaces of the bushing and sprocket disengage
Loosen the bushing from the shaft by inserting a screwdriver into the bushing saw slot and tapping lightly
Rotary Airlock Valve Bearing Replacement
Important Notes
Use Kice replacement parts only.
Do not reinstall removed bearings; they must be replaced.
Ensure bearings are special low-speed, close tolerance bearings from Kice.
Removing Inboard Bearings
Remove the end plate as stated above.
Mark both end plates if removed, to ensure reinstallation on the same end.
Place the end plate on wooden blocks with the machined surface down.
Tap the bearing and shaft seal through the end plate using a brass rod and discard both.

Check rotor to end plates clearance
Remove components for access
Remove the chain guard
Remove the drive chain
Remove the sprocket and bushing on the airlock shaft
Remove the sprocket on the reducer shaft
Remove the chain guard backplate
Remove the shaft cover
Rotary Airlock Valve Rotor Adjustment
Check the clearance between the rotor and the airlock end plates using a feeler gauge
Remove components for adjustment
Set the proper clearance between the rotor and the end plate using a soft hammer and feeler gauge
Check the clearance at the other end of the rotor
Set the remaining lock collar
Turn the rotor with the probe
Reinstallation of components
Reinstall the chain guard backplate, sprocket, and bushing on the airlock shaft
Reinstall the sprocket on the motor shaft and align with the sprocket on the airlock shaft
