John Deere Tractor 7320

Change IVT Transmission/Hydraulic System Oil

Start engine and operate several hydraulic functions to heat oil.

Park tractor on level surface. Lower rear hitch and front-mounted implements (if equipped).

Stop the engine and remove the key.

Replace transmission/hydraulic oil filters (B).

Replace seals and tighten drain screws to 50 Nom (35 lb-ft).

Add transmission/hydraulic oil to the transmission case.

Have John Deere Dealer Check Cab Suspension Accumulators

Check Transmission/Hydraulic Oil Level

Lower rear hitch and front-mounted implements (if equipped).

7220 and 7320 Tractors: Unscrew dipstick (A), remove it and wipe it clean.

Screw-in dipstick fully, remove it and check oil level.

Oil level should be between marks on the dipstick.

Add oil at filler neck as necessary.

Change Primary and Secondary Engine Air Filters

Lubricate 2WD Adjustable Front Axle Components

Lubricate MFWD Axle and Drive Shaft

Check Oil Level in Axle Housing and final Drives

Check Oil Level in Rear Drop-Axle, Hi-Crop Tractors (7420 only)

Lubricate Rockshaft and Hitch Components

Cab heater control in fully open position

Filler cap loosened and removed after engine and coolant has cooled completely

System pressurized to 50 to 60 kPa (7 to 8.7 psi)

System inspected for leaks using suitable radiator tester

Connect/disconnect control valve turned counterclockwise approximately 1/4 turn to open

Radiator drain valve opened and coolant flow until system is empty

Thermostat housing (E) and thermostat removed

Thermostat tested to verify it opens within specified temperature range

Housing installed WITHOUT thermostat
