Turn cab heater control to fully open position

Loosen and remove filler cap after engine and coolant has cooled completely

Check mark

Pressurize system to 50 to 60 kPa (7 to 8.7 psi)

Check mark

Inspect system for leaks using suitable radiator tester

Check mark

Turn connect/disconnect control valve counterclockwise approximately 1/4 turn to open

Check mark

Open radiator drain valve and let coolant flow until system is empty

Check mark

Remove thermostat housing (E) and thermostat

Check mark

Test thermostat to verify it opens within specified temperature range

Install housing without thermostat
