Perform 10 hour or daily service

Lubricate working tool pivots every 10 hours for first 100 hours and when working in mud and water

Clean air cleaner dust unloader valve

The most accurate oil level reading is obtained when the engine is cold, before starting the engine for the day's operation.

Park machine on a level surface

Inspect tires and check pressure

Check wheel retainer cap screws

Clean or replace air cleaner elements

Clean oily or sooty primary element

Check and clean air inlet cover

Inspect belts and check tension

Drain water and clean fuel tank strainer

Check receiver dryer moisture indicator

Is the sight glass green (dry)?

If sight glass is yellow (wet), service the receiver dryer within the next 100 machine hours.

Is the machine parked on a level surface?

Is the bucket lowered to the ground?

Is the transmission control lever in neutral 'N'?

ADJUST ENGINE SPEED CONTROL LINKAGE

Check and adjust engine speed linkage

Replace air cleaner dust unloader valve

Remove and clean engine crankcase vent tube

CHANGE TRANSMISSION OIL AND REPLACE FILTER

MEASURE AND ADJUST ENGINE VALVE LASH (CLEARANCE)-544G, LL, TC, 624G

Remove precleaner or air intake cover, hood, air cleaner bracket with air cleaner intake manifold, and engine crankcase vent tube

Check crankcase ventilation tube for restriction. Clean with solvent or diesel fuel

Install JDE-81-1 Flywheel Turning Tool (A)

Turn flywheel until JDE-81-4 Timing Pin (B) goes into hole in flywheel

Try to move both pushrods at number one cylinder. If both are loose, proceed with adjustment per chart on No. 1 TDC. If both pushrods at number six are loose, proceed with adjustment per chart on No. 6 TDC

Measure and adjust valve clearance with No. 1 piston or No. 6 at TDC. To change piston position, pull timing pin out of flywheel, rotate flywheel 360°, and insert timing pin
