Ensure a deep evacuation of the system is performed

Verify the system is clean and dry before charging refrigerant

Select and install expansion valves according to manufacturer's recommendations

Ensure all units have externally equalized expansion valves with the equalizer line connected

Insulate and securely clamp the expansion valve bulb at the 4 o'clock or 8 o'clock position on a horizontal run of the suction line

Check the location and contact of the bulb for optimal system performance

Adjust new expansion valves as necessary

Disconnect all electrical power to the unit before inspecting or cleaning

Lower and thoroughly clean the drain pan

Confirm fan motors do not require oiling
