3 Yearly Desiccant Replacement

Check mark

Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!

Check mark

Check for contamination of desiccant

Check mark

If contamination is found, report to the maintenance team and stop the procedure

Check mark

Check the condition of the coalescing pre-filters

Check mark

Drain spent desiccant through the desiccant drain port in the bottom of each tank

Check mark

Is the desiccant oil contaminated?

Check mark

If oil contamination is found, deal with it based on the amount of oil contamination

Check mark

Add fresh desiccant through the desiccant fill port

Check mark

Check for adequate room above the desiccant bed to permit bed motion and expansion during dryer operation

Run this procedureArrow right

Purge Rate Maintenance

Check mark

Warning: The Blower Polishing and External Heated modes of operation require an adequate supply of purge air which is essential for proper regeneration of desiccant and good dewpoint suppression.

Check mark

If your system pressure varies throughout the day, set the purge pressure at a low-pressure period so during those low-pressure periods the purge flow is not starved.

Check mark

Always consult the factory prior to changing operating conditions.

Check mark

Set the adjustable purge valve to the required value for equipment operating at standard conditions.

Check mark

Is the purge valve open?

Check mark

DO NOT operate the dryer with the purge valve closed the flow path is required in all modes for repressurization.

1 Yearly Filters Replacement

Check mark

1. Pre & After Filtration

Check mark

• The Pre & After-filter element should be replaced whenever the pressure drop becomes excessive.

Check mark

• Differential pressure is the best method to gauge the need for element replacement. The recommended maximum element differential is 10 PSIG.

Check mark

• The pressure at which you should change your elements should be determined by comparing the operational efficiency of your system (Cost of pressure drop vs. cost or the elements).

Check mark

• Many facilities put filter replacement on an annual or bi-annual schedule based on system contaminant load.

Check mark

2. Control Air Filter

Check mark

• Frequent inspection of the control air filter is required so desiccant particulate does not restrict the control air required for pneumatic actuation of dryer valves.

Check mark

• The control air filter is generally replaced when the particulate after-filter on the dryer is replaced.;

4 Monthly Blower Intake Filter Maintenance

Check mark

Warning: This maintenance check requires trained personnel with PPE!

Check mark

Blower intake filter changed within the last 4 months?

Check mark

Enter the filter differential in inches of H²O

Check mark

Is the filter differential below the maximum recommended 10” of H²O?

Check mark

Any signs of clogged intake filters?

Check mark

If there are signs of clogged intake filters, report the issue to the maintenance team and stop the procedure

Check mark

Sign off on the blower intake filter maintenance

Initial 100 Hours Purge Muffler Maintenance

Check mark

Warning: This maintenance check requires trained personnel with PPE!

Check mark

Purge mufflers preventing high noise levels?

Check mark

Muffler elements clogged due to desiccant fines?

Check mark

Is there backpressure in the purge tower during operation?

Check mark

If there is backpressure, replace the muffler element.

Check mark

Desiccant dust accumulation prior to equipment startup?

Check mark

If there is dust accumulation, clean the equipment.

Check mark

High volume of desiccant fines from startup?

Check mark

If there is a high volume of desiccant fines, replace the purge muffler element.
