Motor Lubrication Recommendations — Table 1

Verify NEMA Frame Size and Conditions

Calculate Lubrication Interval Hours

Use high grade ball and roller bearing grease

Recommended Preventive Maintenance — Normal Duty

Replace mechanical seal annually

Recommended Preventive Maintenance — Heavy Duty

Replace mechanical seal as often as required

Recommended Preventive Maintenance — Elastomer Inspection

Inspect all elastomers during pump maintenance

Replace elastomers (o-rings and gaskets) during seal, pump shaft, and/or motor replacement

If the impeller nut gasket fails, clean the threaded hole on the impeller nut and the threads on the end of the shaft

Use a wire brush for cleaning the threads

Inspect the shaft collar bolt(s) more often in corrosive environments
