Ensure the blower is turned off and disconnected from power

Inspect the blower wheel and housing for dirt and dust accumulation

Clean the following components using a vacuum cleaner and brush

Is the blower wheel free from dirt and dust?

Is the blower housing free from dirt and dust?

Verify that there is 22 to 28 VAC across terminals 15 and 16.

Verify that there is 15 VDC across terminals G (+) and COM (-).

Verify that the jumper is in the “MAN” position (shipped from factory in Manual mode).

Connect voltmeter to wire loop VDC (+) and wire loop COM (-).

Determine the DC voltage for required airflow from the Fan Calibration Curve supplied on the side of the equipment. Use the bottom (5 to 10 volts DC) scale on the chart.

Adjust the manual speed potentiometer, labeled SPD, to obtain the required voltage using a 1/8” flat bladed screwdriver.

Ensure the voltage is not set lower than 5.1 VDC or higher than 9.9 VDC to avoid motor starting problems.

Ensure all necessary tools are available

Brush the entering air face between fins with a soft brush parallel to fins

Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the coil

Is a compressed air source available?

Blow air through the coil fins from the leaving air face (if compressed air source is available)

Vacuum the coil again after using compressed air
