Warning: Ensure the switchboard is de-energized before starting the cleaning process

Upload a photo of the switchboard before cleaning

Dust and debris removed from bus bars, connections, supports, and enclosure surfaces?

Switchboard wiped clean with a lint-free cloth?

Warning: Do not use solvents to clean equipment, as damage to surfaces can occur

Switchboard exposed to adverse conditions such as airborne contaminants?

Warning: Do not use compressed air in cleaning

Second Megger or DC test of the switchboard insulation between phases and ground performed?

Inspect bus bar and cables for visible damage

Visually inspect connections for overheating and damage

All bus bar and cable connections checked and torqued in accordance with labeling on the switchboard

Inspect for broken wire strands and pinched or damaged insulation on cable connections

Visual inspection for discoloration, cracking, scorching, overheating, or broken parts

Operating mechanism opens and closes properly

If any issues are found, the breaker should be replaced

Sign off on the circuit breaker inspection

Switch mechanism is turned to the OFF position

Switch contacts, blades, and mechanism visually inspected

Fuses are of the proper class, ampere, voltage, and interrupting rating

Non–current-limiting fuses are not used as replacements for current-limiting fuses

Rejection mechanisms are not defeated

Sign off on the fuse replacement

Switching mechanism and fuse connections visually inspected

Fusible devices inspected for signs of discoloration, cracking, scorching, overheating, or broken parts

Select any signs of damage found

Entire switch replaced if necessary
