Remove the UPS right front cover

Disconnect the internal battery connector

If the EBM cable is not connected to an EBM, unclip the EBM cable and move it to the left out of the way

Remove and retain the battery cover plate

Slide the battery package slowly out onto a flat, stable surface

Slide the new battery package into the cabinet

Replace the battery cover plate onto the screw mounts, threading the battery connector through the access slot

Reconnect the internal battery connector. Connect red to red, and black to black

If the EBM cable is not connected to an EBM, clip the EBM cable back into its holder on the battery cover plate

Warning: Only trained personnel should perform this procedure

Is the UPS connected to utility power?

Enter the battery recharge date from the shipping carton label

Sign off on the battery service

Warning: Ensure the UPS is unplugged before starting the procedure

Enter the date when the UPS was plugged in for charging

Did the UPS charge for 48 hours?

Was the menu option activated successfully?

Was CONTROL then START BATTERY TEST selected?

Did the UPS start a battery test?

Did the UPS transfer to Battery mode and discharge the batteries for 25 seconds?

Did the front panel display “Battery test running” and the percentage of the test completed?

Sign off on the new battery testing
