Warning: Batteries can present a risk of electrical shock or burn from high short circuit current. Observe the following precautions.

Removed watches, rings, or other metal objects.

Used tools with insulated handles.

Did not lay tools or metal parts on top of batteries.

When replacing batteries, replace with the same type and number of batteries or battery packs.

Proper disposal of batteries is required. Refer to your local codes for disposal requirements.

Never dispose of batteries in a fire. Batteries may explode when exposed to flame.

Warning: Handling the EBM requires a minimum of 2 people due to its weight.

Unplug the EBM power cable and battery detection cable from the UPS.

Unplug the EBM power cable and battery detection cable from each additional EBM if installed.

Replace the EBM(s) and dispose of the used equipment properly.

Info: A small amount of arcing may occur when connecting an EBM to the UPS. This is normal and will not harm personnel.

Insert the EBM cable into the UPS battery connector quickly and firmly.

Plug the EBM cable(s) into the battery connector(s). Up to four EBMs may be connected to the UPS.

Verify that the EBM connections are tight and that adequate bend radius and strain relief exist for each cable.

Connect the battery detection cable(s) to the connector of the UPS and of the EBM(s).
