Monthly operations include all weekly operations.

- Inspect unit for loose or damaged components and visible leaks

Electrical ( * including the VFDs):

- Visually inspect components for signs of overheating

- Verify compressor and oil heater operation

- Check filter-drier pressure drop. Replace the filter if pressure drop exceeds 20 psi.;

Warning: This inspection requires trained personnel with PPE!

Is the refrigerant sight glass clear?

If the sight glass is not clear, it may indicate inadequate refrigerant charge.

Is there bubbling refrigerant in the sight glass during stable run conditions?

Bubbling refrigerant may indicate an EXV problem or excessive pressure drop.

Is the sight glass indicating a dry condition after about 12 hours of operation?

If not, an oil acid test is recommended.

Sign off on the sight glass inspection

Complete unit log and review. Log readings can be taken daily for a higher level of unit observation.

Electrical ( * including the VFDs)

Clean control box fan filter. The weekly fan filter cleaning schedule can be modified to meet job conditions. It is important that the filter allows full air flow.

Check liquid line sight glasses for clear flow

Check compressor oil sight glass for correct level (lubricant charge);

Annual (or spring startup) operations include all weekly and monthly operations.

- Inspect thermal insulation for integrity

Electrical ( * including the VFDs):

- Check contactors for pitting, replace as required

- Check terminals for tightness, tighten as necessary

Is the coil free of surface debris?

Select the approved coil cleaner used

If 'Other' is selected, stop the procedure and report to the maintenance team

Was the coil cleaned with the approved cleaning agent?

Was the approved chloride remover used to remove soluble salts and revitalize the unit?

Was the barrier removed prior to application of the product?

Was CHLOR*RID DTS applied uniformly across the substrate?

Was the substrate thoroughly rinsed?
