Truck is OFF and all controls are in neutral

Correct size and weight battery is used

Roller stand is used for battery installation or removal

Roller stand is the same height as the rollers in the truck's battery compartment

Roller stand is at least as long as the battery

Nothing metal is touching the top of the cells

An insulator is used when necessary

An approved spreader bar is used to place or remove the battery

Spreader bar hooks are adjusted to fit the battery

Battery retainers on both sides of the truck are properly installed

All wheels are in good condition

Both forks are secure and not bent, cracked or badly worn

Load backrest and overhead guard are in place and fastened

No signs of hydraulic leaks under the truck

All hydraulic functions working properly

Truck drives slowly in both directions

Truck drives through the full speed range in both forward and reverse

Braking and plugging distances in forward and reverse are safe

If the braking distance is too long to stop safely, don't drive the truck
