Atlas Copco Air Dryer CD 1+

Warning: Ensure the dryer is completely depressurised before starting the procedure.

Four M8 bolts removed from the top manifold of the dryer

Dryer removed from the air net (leave top manifold connected to the piping)

Valve locking caps turned a quarter turn and lifted to release them

New purge nozzles inserted, with O-rings in place at the bottom of the plugs

Locking caps put back in place and turned a quarter turn to tighten

Dryer connected to the top manifold with O-rings in place

• Replace the inlet filter cartridge.

• Replace desiccant cartridges.

Desiccant replacement procedure

1. Completely depressurise the dryer. Consult Stopping the dryer in section Operating instructions.

2. Remove the four M8 bolts from the top manifold of the dryer.

3. Remove the dryer from the air net (the top manifold is still connected to the piping.)

5. Turn the valve locking caps a quarter turn and lift to release them. Take out purge plugs.

Warning: Ensure the dryer is off and unplugged before starting the procedure.

Orange service warning LED (4) flashing at 11500 hours

Red service alarm LED (5) flashing at 12000 hours

Dryer closed off as per stopping procedure

Power cord of the dryer pulled out

Service plan performed as scheduled

Dryer restarted by reconnecting the power cord

Counter restarted, dryer operating LED (1) alight, and LED's (2 and 3) indicating the cycling status of the dryer

Service warning LED (4) or service alarm LED (5) still flashing

Replace the inlet filter cartridge

Replace exhaust valve diaphragm and solenoid valves

Replace shuttle valve and o-rings

Sign off on the air dryer maintenance
