Ensure the following tools are available

Remove nuts and bolts to detach old cutting edge

Were any nuts frozen and required a torch for removal?

Replace all fasteners with 5/8-11 plow bolt and nylon lock nut

Place bolts into recessed holes on the new cutting edge

Insert bolts through trip edge mount and start nylon lock nut

Are the bolts flush against the cutting edge when tightening?

Ensure the following tools are available

Ensure wear shoe is in a hanging position off the ground

Check if fasteners need replacement based on thread condition

Elevate pusher a few inches to take pressure off mounting points

If pusher is on the ground, place jacks under the frame to elevate it a few inches off the ground

Ensure you have the following tools

Remove nuts and bolts to free the polyblock being replaced.

Attach the new polyblock to moldboard using hex bolt, flat washer(A), and poly block washer(B). Start nuts to hold in place without fully tightening.

Secure opposite end of the polyblock on mainframe using flange bolts and poly block washer.

Tighten down all fasteners with torque

Polyblock Thickness Verification

Verify that the thinner polyblock is on the top and the thicker one on the bottom.

Check and replace any damaged parts

Ensure replacement cutting edges and polyblocks are available

Check all fasteners for looseness, including those on the angle iron (HD models) on the slip hitch mounts

Measure the height of the blade showing

Is the height of the blade showing 1.5 inches or less?

Replace any parts hindering normal operation
