Cutting Edges Replacement
Required Tools
Remove nuts and bolts to detach old cutting edge
Place bolts into recessed holes on the new cutting edge
Verify all bolts are flush against the cutting blade
Describe any issues encountered during replacement
Wear Shoes Replacement
Required Tools
Ensure the following tools are available
Preparation
Is the wear shoe in a hanging position off the ground?
Is the pusher elevated a few inches to take pressure off mounting points?
Removal of Old Wear Shoe
Enter the number of nuts and washers to be removed (6 for CD and LD models, 7 for HD models)
Remove all nuts and washers attaching the shoe to the side panel
Remove old wear shoe
Snow Pusher Maintenance
Inspection and Replacement
Check and replace any damaged parts
Ensure replacement cutting edges and polyblocks are available
Check all fasteners for looseness, including those on the angle iron (HD models) on the slip hitch mounts
Cutting Edge Assessment
Is the backside of the cutting edge wearing into the mounting plate?
Measure the height of the blade showing (in inches)
Does the blade height measure 1.5 inches or less?
Replacement of Parts
Polyblocks Replacement
Required Tools
Ensure you have the following tools
Replacing Polyblocks
Remove nuts and bolts to free the polyblock being replaced.
Attach the new polyblock to moldboard using hex bolt, flat washer(A), and poly block washer(B). Start nuts to hold in place without fully tightening.
Secure opposite end of the polyblock on mainframe using flange bolts and poly block washer, then tighten all fasteners with 100 ft lbs. (lbf-ft) torque.
Ensure the thinner polyblock is on the top and the thicker one on the bottom.
Special Note Regarding Changes in Bottom Polyblocks
Note any signs of wear or premature breakage on bottom polyblocks.
