Flush the pump to remove dirt, foreign particles, and moisture

Did you use only water-base solvents for cleaning?

Place the ON/OFF switch in 'OFF' position

Remove the power cord from the power source

Check for signs of reduced flow rate

Unscrew the old filter by turning it counter-clockwise

Screw in the new filter by turning it clockwise

Ensure the filter is only finger tight

Note any issues encountered during replacement

Ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the 'OFF' position

Unplug the unit from the electrical outlet

Remove the cap from the muffler

Remove the old cotton from the muffler

Check if the old cotton is discolored

Is the cotton packed loosely in the muffler tube?
