Verify cover placement and orientation

Ensure gasket and cover compatibility

Enter the recommended torque for hookbolts

Were hookbolts tightened diagonally?

Enter the actual working pressure

Calculate and enter the torque for actual working pressure

Ensure unit safety before opening

Disassemble hookbolts and remove covers

Dismantle flanged joint for cooling water outlet on Type IIIV

Check for damage when removing gaskets

Secure unit to prevent swinging or tilting

Apply normal hydrostatic test procedures after reassembly

Ensure the following conditions are met before testing

Is the face of the SHE body held down by a rigid beam or other device?

Enter the maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP)

Calculate and enter the maximum test pressure

Was the hydrostatic test performed successfully?

Was air testing considered due to impracticality of hydrostatic testing?

Retighten hookbolt assemblies in a diagonally opposite sequence

Is the cooler media admitted to the SHE first?

Is the fluid nearest ambient temperature admitted first if media are below ambient temperature?

Start pumps against closed valves

Are valves opened slowly to avoid hydraulic shock?

Is all pipework and the SHE filled before opening valves fully?

Examine channels for the following issues

Is an optical device needed for inspection?

Is there any massive corrosion or erosion evident?

Is there any mechanical damage suspected?

Describe any detected issues in detail
