1 Daily Control Cabinet Maintenance
Control cabinet cleaned
Check that controller heat emission is not restricted by any of the following
Controller front door kept closed when no work is being performed inside the controller
Pendant cleaned
Defective light bulbs replaced
Plastic lens replaced if cracked or worn
Drain water container emptied if robot is fitted with cooler
Upload producer’s documentation for the cooler
Sign off on the daily control cabinet maintenance
1 Monthly Cooler Check
Warning: This maintenance check requires trained personnel with PPE!
Is water running regularly out of the drain?
If water is not running regularly, report the issues to the maintenance team and stop the procedure
Remove louvered grill from the cooler enclosure and disconnect connector from the display.
Remove filter from louvered grill, if installed. Clean filter with a vacuum cleaner, or replace as required.
Remove the external circuit fan by removing 4 e.a. screws.
Remove the fan.
Disconnect the fan connectors.
Remove the cover by removing 4 e.a. screws.
1 Yearly Controller Cabinet Cleaning
1. The inside of the controller should be cleaned from time to time e.g. once a year depending on environmental conditions.
2. It is especially important that cooling fans and air inlet / outlet are kept clean. When cleaning, use a dusting brush and a vacuum cleaner to collect the dust brushed off.
3. Do not clean components directly with the vacuum cleaned as this may cause ESD discharge which may damage components.;
50000 Hourly Computer Fan Unit Replacement
WARNING! No repair work must be performed on the robot before the safety regulations have been read and understood.
CAUTION! The unit is sensitive to ESD.
Turn the electrical disconnect switch ‘off’ and lock switch in ‘off’ position.
WARNING! Make sure that the mains switch is ‘off’ and locked in ‘off’ position before continuing. Also make sure that possible other connected systems are ‘off’.
Remove the Computer Unit assembly.
Remove cover attachment screws, disconnect fan unit connector and remove cover.
Remove fan unit attachment screw.
Remove fan unit.
WARNING! Refitting activities must only be performed when controller is switched ‘off’ and all safety precautions under ‘Removal’ have been read.
50000 Hourly Door Fan Unit Replacement
The Door Fan Unit is used for internal circulation in the controller. The unit is located at the lower end of the controller front door as shown below.
WARNING! No repair work must be performed on the robot before the safety regulations have been read and understood.
Removal
1. Turn the electrical disconnect switch ‘off’ and lock switch in ‘off’ position.
WARNING! Make sure that the mains switch is ‘off’ and locked in ‘off’ position before continuing. Also make sure that possible other connected systems are ‘off’.
2. Open controller front door and locate the fan unit.
3. Cut cable strap securing cable to fan unit.
4. Disconnect connector.
5. Loosen upper and lower attachment screws a little.
