Enter the current hours of the capacitors

Is the ambient temperature lowered?

If capacitor failure is suspected, contact ABB. Do not attempt operation with non-ABB specified spare parts.

Upload a photo of the suspected failed capacitor

Reform (re-age) spare part capacitors once a year according to ACS 600 Capacitor Reforming Guide (code: 64059629).

Sign off on the capacitor replacement

Warning: The heatsink should be checked and cleaned annually to prevent overtemperature warnings and faults.

Select the cleaning method used

Note: Compressed air should only be used if the installation can be taken apart and the cleaning is carried out in another room or outdoors.

Was fan rotation prevented during cleaning?

Sign off on the heatsink cleaning

Is the ACx 601 unit making increased noise?

Enter the current heatsink temperature

If the frequency converter is operated in a critical part of a process, fan replacement is recommended once these symptoms start appearing.

The fan can be withdrawn by removing the bottom of the frame.

Replacement fans are available from ABB. Do not attempt operation with other than ABB specified spare parts.
