Warning: Always ensure power is disconnected before starting the procedure.

If the heatsink is not dusty, no further action is required.

If the heatsink is dusty, proceed with the following steps.

Blow clean compressed air (not humid) from bottom to top and simultaneously use a vacuum cleaner at the air outlet to trap the dust.

NOTE: If there is a risk of the dust entering adjoining equipment, perform the cleaning in another room.

Warning: Only trained personnel should perform this procedure

Ensure power is removed from the drive before starting

Fan reinstalled in reverse order

Barbed retaining clips pressed toward the center to release the barbs

Fan installed with air flow up (refer to the arrow on fan)

Fan wire harness is toward the front

Notched housing barb is located in the right-rear corner

Fan cable connects just forward of the fan at the top of the drive
