Determine the cause of the problem before dis-assembling

Clean and inspect all parts for wear

Recondition or replace parts where necessary

Allow pump to cool and secure suction and discharge valves

Drain liquid from casing by removing drain plug

Ensure all parts are free from burrs and damage

Insert stationary element of seal into cover adapter

Slip cover-adapter over shaft and engage rabbit of motor

Lubricate smaller OD of shaft sleeve with silicone grease

Place spring on shaft sleeve to abut against sleeve shoulder

Slide rotary seal on sleeve until it contacts spring

Slide the shaft sleeve on the shaft, larger bore first

Record motor bearing temperature

Is the motor bearing temperature within the normal range?

Is the suction gauge reading normal?

Is the discharge gauge reading normal?

Describe any abnormal gauge readings or noises
