Power supply switched off and pump and motor disconnected from the system

Motor shroud removed and pump placed vertically on the motor's fan cover

Four motor flange screws released and removed

Back plate and extension frame lifted off the shaft and spacer flange removed

Screws at the base of the shaft loosened, shaft removed and motor replaced

Dirt and grease removed from the motor shaft and the base's internal clamping surfaces

Pump shaft loosely mounted with the balance hole positioned over the keyway

Power supply in the motor isolator disconnected

Steam and flushing liquid supply turned off

Pump suction and discharge point closed and pump housing drained

Inlet and outlet pipes properly isolated

Pump housing dismantled and impeller removed

Stationary seal face removed from the back plate

O-ring removed from the stationary seal face

Rotary seal face removed from the impeller

O-ring removed from the rotary seal face
