Inspect for the following issues

Is the electric conduit, power supply cord or plug damaged?

Was the power supply cord and plug replaced by an authorised person?

Was a genuine replacement part from Rinnai used for replacement?

Check if PTR valves are leaking

Enter the cold inlet pressure (kPa)

Is the cold inlet pressure within the normal range (500-700 kPa)?

Is the water temperature in the tank close to 99°C?

Contact Rinnai service department if thermostatic controller or heating equipment has failed

Is the pressure and temperature low but valve is leaking?

Pull the lever for up to 30 seconds to clear foreign material

Verify pump installation conditions

Is the pump operation indicated on the controller screen?

Bleed pump using the chrome screw at the end of the pump casing

Is there excessive noise indicating damage or lack of bleed?

Is the impeller shaft spinning when inspected?

!Warning: Draining MUST be carried out by a qualified person. Water may be HOT during draining.

Isolate or turn ‘OFF’ the water heater at the electricity supply.

Close the cold water isolation valve at the inlet to the storage tank(s).

Close the water isolation valve at the return port from the gas water heater(s) on the storage tank(s).

Close the hot water isolation valve at the outlet of the storage tank(s).

Operate the PTR valve easing gear - gently. Operating the PTR valve easing gear will relieve the pressure in the water heater.

Undo the cold water inlet union.
