CAUTION: Mark positions accurately during disassembly

Disconnect the electric cables from the motor terminal box

Unscrew the screws from the supporting feet and place the machine on a work-bench

Remove the inlet filter and silencer

Using a pair of pliers, pull out the weld-mesh core of the silencer and the sound absorbing element

Using an Allen wrench with an extension bar, unscrew the two inside screws holding the silencer body to the machine and remove the silencer

Filter Element Removal and Cleaning

Open the toggle clamps holding the cover to the filter body

Clean the filter element by blowing it with compressed air

Remove any dust present inside the filter

Clean the inner parts of the cover and body with a damp cloth

Are the seals on the two cartridge plates damaged?

Check the motor fan cowl grill for dirt

Disconnect the power supply before cleaning

Ensure the machine is stopped before removing the motor fan cowl

Remove the motor fan cowl by unscrewing the fixing screws

Clean the cowl and the fan with a brush and a damp cloth

Avoid using water jets, solvents, or abrasive tools for external cleaning

Use a cloth dampened with water and/or a soft brush for cleaning

Unscrew the wing nut and remove the protective hood

Clean the cartridge by blowing it with compressed air from the inside

Replace the cartridge if damaged or every 1000 working hours

Disconnect the unit from the power supply

Record the total working hours of the motor

Is the motor due for bearing replacement based on working hours?
