Internal Speaker Replacement
Preparation
Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer.
Disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables connected to the computer.
Removing the Old Speaker
Remove the computer cover.
Locate the internal speaker.
Disconnect the internal speaker cable from the internal speaker connector on the system board.
Release the two tabs securing the internal speaker and lift it out of the holder.

Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the computer.
Disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer.
External Battery Box Removal
Disconnect the external battery box cable from the USB connector on the computer.
Remove the screw that secures the external battery box on the VESA mount bracket.
Slide the external battery box to remove it from the VESA mount bracket.

Replacing the 2.5-inch Storage Drive
Remove the computer cover. See 'Removing the computer cover' on page 77.
Locate the 2.5-inch storage drive. See 'Computer components' on page 5.
Is there a front Wi-Fi antenna installed?
Disconnect the front Wi-Fi antenna cable from the Wi-Fi card if applicable.

Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer
Disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables connected to the computer
Remove the computer cover
Remove the storage drive bracket
Locate the memory module to replace
Open the retaining clips and gently pull the memory module out of the memory slot
Insert the notched end of the new memory module into the slot and press firmly until it snaps into place
Ensure the memory module is secured in the slot and does not move easily
External Optical Drive Replacement

Preparation
Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the computer
Disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables connected to the computer
Disconnect the external optical drive adapter from the USB connectors on the external optical drive and the computer
Remove the external optical drive box
Remove the screw securing the external optical drive box on the VESA mount bracket
Slide the external optical drive box to remove it from the VESA mount bracket
