Preparation and Safety Precautions

Ensure no flame, high-pressure water, steam, or volatile cleaners are used on fins or tubing surfaces.

Verify that acidic or alkaline cleaners are used according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Confirm that cleaner is thoroughly flushed from all equipment components to prevent damage or corrosion.

Coil Removal and Initial Cleaning

Remove the coil from the cabinet or plenum and take it to an appropriate place for cleaning.

Remove matted and surface debris from the fin using non-destructive tools.

Are oil deposits present on the coil?

Are distributor lines free from rubbing or kinking?

Ensure all tubes have enough clearance from other metal parts

Flush coils with fresh water to remove salt deposits

Use acidic or alkaline cleaners as per manufacturer's instructions

Thoroughly flush cleaner from all equipment components
